UPDATE 2007-10 Well, sorry its been so long... I don't really have any updates for the 'whats next' page though. We're looking at painting our living room. Oh, I suppose I can throw up a picture of our new furniture. Carrie is very proud of it. Also is a shot from out kitchen. Notice the new hardware / knobs!? (if you didn't see the old ones, count yourself lucky. I've seen classier 'spinners' on gheto cruisers...
UPDATE 2007-04 The roof is done. I'll get some pictures up as soon as I take them... Next is landscaping in the front. My neighbor, Jon B., is a great landscaper with a big heart and has offered his assistance. We're anxiously awaiting his magic touch! (he did the front lawn.) We're looking forward specifically to a proper hedge, flowers, and a flowering tree in the yard. Maybe even some mulch! UPDATE 2007-04
The application of the new roof is in-progress! Check out the pictures. I'll be updating them as we go, though it will be more difficult to get shots when i'm at work. I'm thinking maybe webcam? :-)
We're also starting to think about updating the back yard. It is long and steep so the options are limited, but Carrie is confident that we can add some kind of order to it. I'm sure she's right. On a similiar thread, we've talked to Jon (neighbor with nice flat, green grass to the left) about getting appropriate bushes for the front of the house. Apparently, those little bushes you see in the pictures below are actually trees and will grow 15-25 feet. Not a front-door hedge... awesome! UPDATE 2007-03 The new roof goes on March 31st. We're hoping it's done by the time my parents arrive April 6th! 'House Roofing', a local organization run by Chuck House both gave the lowest bid, and came off as the most knowledgable and reasonable. I'm glad to be having him do the work before he and his family move to Maine!
We have grass!!! doesn't that look better? We think so.
